| Here is where we socialize throughout the reunion. We hold Raffles, Silent Auctions, and a Chinese Auction. |
| Chinese Auction: This is where you purchase tickets (usually 6 for $5).Sometimes the tickets are sold $10.00 for an arms length. You place as many tickets as you wish into the container corresponding with the gift that you select. One winning ticket is then pulled from the container. |
| Silent Auction: A paper and pen is placed in front of the item that is displayed on the table. You sign your name and place your bid amount. They usually start with a minimum bid amount. This is a timed auction. It usually runs about two days to give you time to bid. At the end of the timed period the winning bidder is announced. |
| Auction items are donated to the club. Some are hand made one of a kind items, others are commercially made items. All profits go to the club. The money collected goes into the Presidents pocket. All kidding aside, it goes to pay for our liquid refreshments and snacks in the hospitality room, this web site, postage, printing and a host of other costs. A full accounting of our monies is made in the treasurers report. Which is made during our business meeting held at an announced time at the reunion. |
